More Lollypop Trees Blocks...

I've been working on these for a few months now.  Slowly but surely I am making progress.  This is my first large applique project.

My most recent block is this blue and purple one.  My mother-in-law passed two weeks ago and she loved these colors, so I thought of her as I made this one.

  1. When I seen the thumbnail size of the above picture it looked like a dragonfly.

  3. Your block is gorgeous, you're really good at the fussy cutting and the fabrics just sing on the dark background. It's great to have you join in with the rest of us, I'll look forward to more.

  4. Love your block, great fussy cutting! I like the leaves cut out from the Phillip Jacob's fabric. The fabrics work well against the dark background. Love to see more, Kim McL

  6. I love seeing these darker backgrounds! Yours really makes the applique pop. (Loved #15 on your blog because it was done in oranges.) Beautiful work. Your blocks are going to be stunning in the finished quilt. Looking forward to it.

  7. Your quilt is outstanding on the black background, even though I'm not sure my eyes would hold up to it. You are doing a fabulous job! Can't wait to see more blocks posted.
